Beginning in circa 1944, a concerted effort was made each year to fully document camp life. A professional photographer was on site throughout the season, taking high quality, usually staged, photographs. The NMC Miscellany collection includes various material not easily categorized among the official publications of the National Music Camp. This includes ephemera, pamphlets, letters, bulletins and sundry other singular items, primarily printed items but also including some photographic material.

Scope and Contents note The approximately thirty scrapbooks were created by campers to help them remember their time at the summer arts camp. The scrapbooks provide information that is not normally captured by official administrative means, such as diaries, photographs made by campers, and mementos of the friendships between campers - as shown through signatures and written messages.
