Annual notices of the National Music Camp were done sporadically and in various formats until ca. 1942, when a regular tri-fold pamphlet format began, eventually increasing in size to a four- or five-fold glossy publication, which unfolded to act as a mini-poster. These pamphlets were usually headed with the title "Announcing the xx Season", and included the main dates and offerings of the summer camp. There was generally a separate pamphlet of the same size called the 'Concert Calendar', which listed specific concerts that were planned for that summer. The summer Concert Calendar eventually morphed into the Interlochen Festival of the Arts series in 1979.
