Nicholas Harsanyi
Biography
Nicholas Harsanyi was a native of Budapest, Hungary; a violist who went to school with Béla Bartók in Hungary. He founded the Tallahassee symphony in 1981. He was the driving force behind the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and its only conductor until his death in 1987. His wife Janice was known as the "First Lady" of the TSO.
